Experience the Glacier Road from a bike seat, electric bikes make this possible for normal people.
Glacier road starts in Jondal, village by the Hardangerfjord, and goes all the way up to Folgefonna Glacier 1200 masl. It's asphalt road all the way, you can choose to drive by car, but the best experience is from a bike seat. It's a great feeling to ride the bicycle from the fjord up the valley and experience the contrast from fjord to glacier. At the glacier you can do guided glacier hike or go skiing if you want, or just relax in the Fonna1199 restaurant. Returning down to Jondal on same road, keep speed low to be sure it's safe. Price is for rental of bike and helmet, for a whole day. Approximately it takes 1,5-2 hours to ride from Jondal up to the glacier, you need to use your feet's also, if not the battery will not last all the way up! In total 19x2 km bicycle tour if riding all the way from fjord to glacier. Normally it takes 2 hours from fjord to glacier, including some breaks. Recommend visiting restaurant www.fonna1199.no, or attend a guided glacier hike or try summer skiing!

Powered by Bosch this tour is possible for everyone from 15 years old. Smallest bike we have is 19" Trapeze. To join the tour you need to be used to ride a bike, you do not need to be an expert. Remember the bicycling is on your own risk.
